The Cinema Department has received an invitation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to submit one film representing Vietnam to participate in the Preliminary Round of the 98th Academy Awards for the \u201cInternational Feature Film\u201d category, which will take place in 2026 in Los Angeles, USA.<\/span><\/p>\n

On June 13, 2025, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 1830\/Q\u0110-BVHTTDL on the establishment of the National Selection Committee to choose the film representing Vietnam for the Preliminary Round of the International Feature Film category (2025\u20132026 Oscars).<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The regulations and eligibility criteria for the 98th Academy Awards have been published by AMPAS at the following link: <\/span>https:\/\/www.oscars.org\/oscars\/rules-eligibility<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The Cinema Department announces that individuals and film production companies are invited to consider submitting films for the national selection round, which will choose one Vietnamese film to represent the country in the Preliminary Round of the International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Detailed requirements for the application, email address for submission, and deadline are as follows:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Only films that submit complete documents and fully meet the requirements of Section 16 of the 98th Oscars Rules & Eligibility will be considered by the National Selection Committee. The film receiving the highest number of votes will represent Vietnam in the \u201cInternational Feature Film\u201d category at the 98th Academy Awards.<\/span><\/p>\n

The production company whose film is selected will be responsible for completing all information forms via the provided link, bearing all costs for preparing the film copy, promotional materials, and sending them on time in accordance with the \u201cRule 16 \u2013 Special Rules for the International Feature Film Award\u201d of the 98th Academy Awards issued by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).<\/span><\/p>\n
