VAVA aims to help its members access cutting-edge technologies, stay abreast of the latest industry trends, and expand professional opportunities.
The Vietnam Association of Visual Effects and Animation (VAVA) was officially launched at a press conference titled “Building a Strong Association for Visual Effects and Animation in Vietnam and Annecy Animation Film Screening” held on February 18 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event, co-organized by VAVA and the French Institute in Vietnam, served as a forum for networking, knowledge sharing, and promoting collaboration among domestic and international professionals. It not only introduced VAVA’s vision and mission but also provided opportunities for studios, experts, and businesses to connect across borders.
Through activities such as conferences, training programs, and collaborative initiatives both locally and internationally, VAVA enables its members to stay connected with the most advanced technologies, emerging global trends, and opportunities to work and collaborate with international partners.

In addition, VAVA plays a crucial role in protecting the rights of studios and individuals in the industry, offering support in matters related to copyright, contracts, and quality standards. The Association also collaborates with domestic and international agencies and organizations to foster a professional environment in which Vietnamese visual effects and animation products can compete fairly in the global market.
At the event, VAVA representatives and distinguished guests discussed the development history of the visual effects and animation industries in both France and Vietnam, the opportunities and challenges currently facing the sector, and strategic directions for sustainable growth through bilateral cooperation.
Notably, the VAVA Executive Board—the team that will accompany and support the community in driving long-term and sustainable industry development—was officially announced during the event. Attendees were then treated to a special screening of the Annecy Animation Films, featuring six award-winning short films from the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2024 (France).
