The Opening Ceremony of the 24th Vietnam Film Festival is scheduled to take place on the evening of November 21, featuring the participation of numerous stars, initiating a series of major cinematic events aimed at promoting sustainable development and international integration.

Specifically, the Opening Ceremony of the 24th Vietnam Film Festival will commence at 20:00 on November 21, on the premises of the Reunification Hall, No. 135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
The event is organized by the Cinema Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, marking the beginning of a series of cinematic activities lasting from November 21 to November 25.
The ceremony gathers artists, directors, producers, and actors from numerous units. According to information from the Organizing Committee, the red carpet event will feature the presence of approximately 1,200 artists from 203 films participating in the festival, taking place from 19:00 to 20:00 on the same day.
Notably, the opening program will feature the presence of many prominent figures, including: Meritorious Artist Cao Minh, Ha Tran, Hoang Bach, Trong Hieu, Hoang Dung, Duc Phuc, Yuno BigBoi, Anh Tu, Lena, Orange, Nguyen Hung – actor in the film Red Rain, Han Sara, Pittu Quyen, and LaMoon.
Furthermore, the casts of films such as Red Rain (Mưa đỏ), Aerial Combat (Tử chiến trên không), and The Tunnels – The Sun in the Darkness (Địa đạo – Mặt Trời trong bóng tối) will also be in attendance.
With the slogan “Vietnamese Cinema – Sustainable Development and International Integration in the New Era,” the 24th Vietnam Film Festival not only affirms the stature of national cinema but also serves as a venue to honor typical works that are imbued with identity and rich in humanity.
Hosting the film festival in Ho Chi Minh City holds significant meaning as the city has recently joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of film. This presents an opportunity for the event to become a large-scale series of activities, enhancing connections and interactions among artists, the public, managers, and film investors.
Within the framework of the event, numerous other notable activities will take place, such as: The Welcome Film Week in many provinces and cities nationwide (from November 15 to 20); the Photo Exhibition “Ho Chi Minh City Rising with the Country through the Cinematic Lens” (from November 21 to 25), along with many important professional seminars.
The seminars include “Development of the Film Industry in the New Era,” “Attracting Film Productions to Localities: Current Status and Solutions,” and “Promoting the Value of Moving Image Archives in the Current Situation.”
