PART I: GUERRILLA BASE CINEMA – A MILESTONE IN THE HISTORY OF VIETNAMESE REVOLUTIONARY CINEMA.
In October 1947 at the guerrilla base - Dong Thap Muoi, the Political Commissar of Zone 8 issued a Decision to establish the "Photography - Cinema Group of Zone 8, directly under the Political Department of the Military Region".
On the night of December 24, 1948, the first screening of the documentary "The Battle of Moc Hoa" took place at the Military Club on the banks of Duong Van Duong canal, Nhan Hoa Lap Commune, Moc Hoa District, Long An Province. This is the first screening of revolutionary films in the Dong Thap Muoi War Zone in particular and the entire South in general.

In 1952, the Cinema - Photography Department of the Information and Propaganda Service located in Doi Co (Palm Hill) area, Thai Nguyen Province, built the first establishment of the Revolutionary Film and Photography Industry.
On March 15, 1953, President Ho Chi Minh signed the historic Decree No. 147/SL at the Viet Bac War Zone, establishing the Movie - Photography Department in the Propaganda and Arts Service as a National Enterprise for Movie and Photography. Vietnam, marking the birth of Vietnamese Revolutionary Cinema.
