Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Hồi – Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, reiterated the influence of Indian cinema in Vietnam. “In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City organized its first International Film Festival. In March, the city also submitted its application to join UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network in the field of cinema. We understand that Mumbai, India, has also joined this network. Therefore, this Indian Film Festival is not only an opportunity for cultural and film production exchange but also a chance for the city to learn how to effectively participate in UNESCO’s network,” Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Hồi remarked.
