With a runtime of 125 minutes, the film relives the emotional and artistic highlights of 33 “brothers” and the unforgettable moments that united tens of thousands of hearts in pride for Vietnamese culture during concert nights.
Beyond the on-stage glitz, the documentary reveals behind-the-scenes stories never seen before: real-life hardships, sleepless nights, physical and mental pressures, disagreements, intense debates, and ultimately, the triumphant joy that came with hard-earned success and deep appreciation from audiences.
In "Brothers Through Fire and Rain", these moments are portrayed with raw honesty and no filter—offering a deeper understanding of each artist’s individuality, their profound brotherhood, the importance of teamwork, and mutual empathy—the core values that built the strength of this "brotherhood family."
Crowds gathered early for the film premiere screening.
During the press conference on May 16, Ms. Ngo Thi Van Hanh, CEO of YeaH1 Group and producer of "Brothers Through Fire and Rain", revealed that making a film was not part of the original plan.
"After the finale, the directors and I sat down and realized that ending the journey here would be a pity. It had been such an extraordinary period, filled with love from the audience—something few shows have ever achieved. That’s when we knew we had to make a film to preserve this journey," Ms. Van Hanh shared.
Explaining the symbolism behind the film’s title, which references "rain" and "fire", director Dinh Ha Uyen Thu became emotional and tearfully recounted: "Many nights, around 2 or 3 AM after filming, I would see fans and crew members trudging home in the rain, only to return to set early the next morning. At our first concert in Ho Chi Minh City, tens of thousands of fans were also affected by the downpour. Their dedication inspired me to give my all—to 'burn bright' and create something truly meaningful."
As a result, "Brothers Through Fire and Rain" is not only about the artists—it’s also a tribute to the passion and perseverance of the entire production team. From producers and directors to technical crews, they overcame numerous challenges to transform a once-doubted program into a widely celebrated entertainment phenomenon.
This journey was full of hardship and tears, but also overflowing with joy and ambition—a testament to the team's aspiration to establish new standards for Vietnam’s entertainment industry.
